Srinagar, July 23: A road accident occurred in the Rawatapora area of Bagat in Srinagar on Tuesday, when a white Hyundai i20 car bearing registration number JK01AX 0539 entered an electric pole at high speed.
According to police officials, the incident happened due to careless driving. The driver, whose identity is not yet known, the scene escaped immediately after the accident, overtaking the vehicle.
Following this incident, Sadar Police Station has registered an FIR under sections 125 (A) and 325 (4) of the Indian Judge Code (BNS). The vehicle involved in this has been confiscated by the authorities, and a thorough investigation has been initiated.
There have been no casualties in the incident. However, the impact caused minor damage to the public infrastructure, and the officials are tracing the absconding driver.
