The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Soori and Sivaangi Krishnakumar. It is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Sivakarthikeyan Productions.

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the film Ayalaan written and directed by R Ravikumar. Despite rave reviews, the film underperformed at the box office.

According to reports, the director narrated a line from the script to the actor as a mass masala entertainer. It is reported that the actor has agreed to cooperate with the director for a second time and will start filming the film after fulfilling his previous commitment. After the huge success of Don, director Cibi Chakaravarthi was reportedly set to direct superstar Rajinikanth in his second film, but the film failed to develop before its release It was abandoned. The director is yet to officially confirm his second film.

Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with his upcoming film, tentatively titled SK21, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. After that, he will collaborate with director AR Murugadoss for his next film, tentatively titled SK23. Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini Vasanth will play the lead roles in the film. According to media reports, famous musician Anirudh Ravichander will also join the team as the film’s music composer.
