Resident Doctors In England on July 25, there will be a dispute over payment for five days from 7 am to five days, British Medical Association (BMA) said.
BMA resident doctors committee co-chairman Dr. Melissa Ryan and Dr. Ross Neuvdt said that he met with Health Secretary Wes Streeting on Tuesday and “every effort to avoid the strike action by opening talks for the restoration of salary”.
However, he said that the government has said that it will not negotiate salary and instead wants to focus on non-paying elements.
He added to a statement,
“No doctor wants to strike, and these strikes do not go forward. If Mr. Streeting can seriously come on the table in the next two weeks, we can ensure that there is no disruption. The government knows what is necessary to avoid the strike. The election is their.”
In England, the residents of the residents, who were previously known as junior doctors, voted for a strike on salary in the BMA ballot on Tuesday, giving them a mandate for action by January 2026.
Some 90 percent polling residents supported strike action by doctors, in which BMA reported 55 percent of the voting. The Sangh has said that resident doctors need to uplift 29.2 percent to reverse “salary erosion” since 2008/09.
A number 10 spokesperson today said earlier: “We are not going to open the conversation on salary again.
“Resident doctors have received the highest pay award in the public sector for two consecutive years, and we have made it clear that we cannot be more generous this year before this year.”
