Srinagar, 07 July: In a shocking turn of events, a doctor was attacked inside the Surgical Emergency Department of SMHS Hospital today by a patient and his hostess.
The incident occurred around 11:00 pm, when an agitated patient initially tried to attack a doctor present in the emergency unit. The situation increased when the patient with his attendant, physically Dr. Naeem Ahmed attacked, who was on duty at that time.
According to hospital officials, the attack caused panic among employees and patients. Security personnel quickly intervened and brought the situation under control.
Speaking on the incident, Dr. Dr. Dr. of SMHS Hospital, Dr. Endelab said:
“As soon as we came to know about the attack of CMO SMHS and the concerned doctor, we immediately approached the concerned police station and requested a formally quick action, including the arrest of the accused.”
Meanwhile, the police station Kara Nagar has taken cognizance of the matter and started an investigation. ,
