New Delhi, September 30 (IANS) as the Election Commission of India, prepares to release the final voter list for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, senior Congress MP MP Pramod Tiwari accused the BJP of manipulating the voter lists in the last elections and urged to ensure that no qualified voters should be excluded.
Speaking to IANS, Tiwari said, “I am just waiting for the voter list to be released. It will take some time, and people will investigate it. The voter list should ensure that every citizen of Bihar who is eligible to vote is included.”
He alleged that in the previous examples, legitimate voters were removed from the list under the BJP influence, including elections in Haryana, Maharashtra and even parliamentary elections.
“Under the direction of the BJP, the names of 65 lakh voters were removed. This should not happen again. Each valid, recognized voter will have to find its name in the list. The BJP has also removed the real voters in the recent era of Haryana, Maharashtra, and even in the recent era of parliamentary elections, removing the real voters and re -fakeed, and re -examining the action.
Tiwari’s comments have come as a special intensive amendment (SIR) process in Bihar, which concludes in the publication of the revised electoral roll on Tuesday. Voter list updated 2025 is an important milestone in the run-up for Bihar assembly elections.
According to the Election Commission, this is not just a formal step, but an important opportunity for citizens to confirm that their names and details have been accurately recorded. The Commission clarified that when the current amendment phase ends with the final publication, the voters will still be able to improve the reforms or file claims and objections until the official election notification is issued.
The SIR process allowed the residents to submit requests for inclusion, improvement or objection. With the disposal of all recorded objections, the final revised list is now being made public.
