Do not approve any holiday: J&K Govt to Admin Secretary, Hods

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered administrative secretaries and heads of departments not to approve any holiday except exceptional circumstances.

This instruction comes to light of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan.

In the office memorandum, Additional Secretary Rohit Sharma requested strict adherence to the instructions in all government departments, saying that no holiday requests should be given unless there are extraordinary reasons.

The order has been aired to all concerned officials, including the Director General of Police, Chief Electoral Officer, Divisional Commissioner of both Kashmir and Jammu, as well as various heads of the state and other key officers of the state.

In particular, the purpose of the decision is to ensure that there is no obstruction in the necessary administrative functions during this period, emphasizing the importance of maintaining operational readiness- (KNO)
