In view of the upcoming Independence Day, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhari on Wednesday called a meeting to make a complete arrangement for the celebration of the National Festival.
Apart from IGP Kashmir, VK Burdi, the meeting was attended by Dig Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner, SSP and senior officials of various departments. Floriculture, college, school education, SM, KPDCL, R&B, PHE, Health, JKACL, YS & S, Information, Hospitality, Transport, Made, Traffic Police and Security Agencies.
During the meeting, Div Com instructed the officials to ensure comfortable and silly preparations to showcase the lively celebration of Independence Day with great enthusiasm.
He issued a group of instructions for detailed arrangements, including the Air Force’s shower of flower petals, the lighting of government buildings, parade and constitution of contestants, issuing security pass, appointment of nodal officers, organization of cultural programs, nominations of commentators, nominations, and seating and security arrangements.
In addition, he emphasized the need to ensure a uninterrupted power supply, installation of water dispenser, cleanliness and hygiene at the main site, proper traffic management, medical staff deployment and other necessary arrangements.
In addition, the Divcom highlighted the importance of educating the participants about the hoisting of the national flag and following the protocol during the singing of the national anthem.
He emphasized the importance of informing the participants about the sequence of programs and directed to build a similar program for the national program throughout the division.
Meanwhile, on August 12, he reviewed the arrangements for the organization of the tricolor rally and influenced the heavy participation for the participants in addition to widespread measures regarding safety and refreshments.
