Gandarbal, July 03: Shri Amarnath ji Yatra 2025 started with great enthusiasm today as the first batch of pilgrims was formally flagged off from Baltal in Domel, Baltal in Gandalball district by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhari.
Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary (Nodal Officer for Yatra-2025 for the Baltal Axis); Deputy Commissioner Gandarbal, Jatin Kishore; SSP Gandarbal, Khalil Poswal; And on this occasion, district administration and other senior police officers were also present.
The authorities greeted the pilgrims, praying for their safe and spiritually rich journey.
The Baltal Base Camp resonated with the mantras of “bomb bomb good” and “Har Har Mahadev”, as thousands of ecstasy pilgrims, including men, women, elderly devotees and sadhus, Shri Amarnathji’s holy journey was established for the holy cave pilgrimage site.
The pilgrims expressed happiness and praise for the strong arrangements made by the Jammu and Kashmir Ut Administration, Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board (SASB) and the police. He appreciated seamless coordination and facilities to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience.
To ensure the safety and welfare of pilgrims, the administration has made extensive arrangements including round-the-clock safety, well-equipped medical camps, hygiene facilities and other essential services along with travel routes.
The beginning of the journey marks the beginning of a deep spiritual and revered pilgrimage, which reflects the administration’s commitment to the unwavering devotion of the Yatris and the convenience of a smooth and safe pilgrimage.
