Director Health Chairman Coordination Meetings for Sanji -2025

Srinagar, June 25: Director Health Service Kashmir, Dr. Jahangir Bakshi, presided over important meetings in Srinagar today to ensure the provision of spontaneous healthcare for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (Sanji) 2025.

The first session held at TRC Srinagar was a sensitization meeting with the camp directors, which will be deployed in various base camps along with Pahgam and Baltal Axis.

The meeting organized by Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board focused on strengthening the coordination and increasing the preparations for health services at these important places.

Dr. Bakshi informed the CMP directors on the medical infrastructure and services available by the Directorate, followed by an effective health care services after an interactive session to highlight the operational roles and to streamline the communication protocols.

In the second meeting, Dr. Bakshi held a comprehensive coordination meeting with key stakeholders involved in providing healthcare during Sanji 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Indian Army, BSF, SSB, SDRF, Skims Sora, Skims MCH Bemina, Associated Hospitals GMC Srinagar, Police Hospital Srinagar, CMO Anantnag/ Genderbal, COS/ Officer Yatra Infection DHSK and relevant officers for health services.

During the meeting, the director performed a detailed powerpoint underlining the Healthcare Action Plan prepared for the journey.

During the two sessions, there is a need to apply for infrastructure readiness, medical teams’ deployment and medical supply availability, emergency response protocols with medical referral and withdrawal schemes, coordination mechanisms with local hospitals, coordination mechanisms with local hospitals, installation of a real time communication and information sharing platform for all stakeholders.

Dr. Bakshi emphasized effective coordination and importance of early communication between all participating agencies to ensure a foolish proof and responsible healthcare system during the travel period.

Discussions covered all aspects of medical preparations, including logistics, emergency intervention and inter-agency coordination, providing time to all pilgrims to provide timely and high quality medical care.
