In part two of the season finale – which features extreme Gomez’s anticipated return – It is shockingly revealed that Billie (Janice Lynn Brown) is actually Alex’s biological daughter.
Alex discovers this when he regains his memories, which he had erased years earlier, along with Justin and Billy to save their daughter from the dark wizard Lord Morsus (Tobias Jellinek), who is also revealed to be Billy’s grandfather.

Meanwhile, Morsus has used Billy and his powers to open a dangerous portal between the mortal world and an evil dimension.
Realizing that the only way to bridge the rift is from the other side, Billy offers to sacrifice himself. However, Alex tearfully shuts him down and instead insists on doing it herself and promises Billy, “We’ll find each other again.”
Alex then heads towards the portal, jumps onto Morsus’s back and they cross to the other side – leaving Justin to console Billy and his children, and reassure them that they will find Alex someday.
The climactic cliffhanger has left fans devastated, with many expressing their grief over X. The show “has no right to be so good at dramatic stories because what do you mean Alex Russo sacrifices himself for his daughter,” one wrote.

“My entire childhood was ruined,” cried another, while a third declared: “Alex Russo will always be the most iconic Disney character of all time.”
