India wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel shared a picture from the plane as the Indian cricket team left for Ranchi on Tuesday for the fourth Test of the five-match series against England. At present, the host team is leading 2-1 in the five-match series with two matches left in the series. The fourth Test will begin on February 23 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex and will be followed by the fifth and final Test of the series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Jurel posted a photo on his social media account X and captioned it: “Let’s go”. In the picture, the cricketer was seen sitting in an airplane with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rajat Patidar.

The wicketkeeper-batsman made his Test debut in the third Test in Rajkot. He was able to play only the first innings where he played a confident inning of 46 runs with the help of three sixes and two fours.

Jaiswal played an unbeaten inning of 214* runs with the help of 14 fours and 12 sixes. He made an unbeaten partnership of 172 runs with Sarfaraz Khan, who played an unbeaten inning of 68* with the help of six fours and three sixes. His innings played a key role in India’s 434-run victory over England in the Rajkot Test.

Patidar, on the other hand, failed to prove himself in the match and was able to score only five runs in the two innings he played in the Rajkot Test. According to ESPNcricinfo, India’s star batsman KL Rahul is set to return for the Ranchi Test, so it is likely that he will replace Patidar as he has not been able to score runs in this series so far.

Talking about the third test, India declared its second innings at 430/4 and took a lead of 556 runs.

Chasing 557, the Three Lions were all out for just 122 runs at 39.4 and lost the match by 434 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets for 41 runs, while Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket each.

Jadeja was given the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance in the Test match.
