Dharmasthala has come under ideological attack: BJP leader BL Santosh

Udupi (Karnataka), 3 October (IANS), referring to the Dharmasthala case, BJP National General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh said that there has been an ideological attack on Dharmasthala in Karnataka.

He said, “He has tasted the taste of blood. Through ideological politics, he had tasted a little blood in Sabarimala. He also tasted the taste of blood in Isha Ashram and Shani Shingnapur. Now they are continuing this effort in Dharmasthala.”

Speaking at the Foundation Stone laying ceremony of the District BJP office in Udupi city on Friday, Santosh said that Dharmasthala has come in an ideological attack. He claimed that three years ago, there was a similar attack on Udupi Krishna Mute, and soon, another holy place, moodbidari, would also face such an attack, he claimed.

“Those responsible for this attack should be punished. Even those who spread false propaganda should be punished. We should take a vow to our office to fight,” he urged.

“This is not an attack on an individual or an institution. It is an attack on our belief, our beliefs and our values. For some reason, the attack on Udupi was kept separate for now, but it can be raised anytime. The attacks are being carried out at the origin of Hindu beliefs and our traditions.

“There was a continuous false propaganda against the Kumbh Mela. They spread rumors that participating in Kumbh will not cause such diseases in the world. But the faith of this country is very strong. After such allegations, the number of devotees has increased crores. We will face this challenge with head-on. We will give strong answers to this challenge.

“Many times we can turn our heads, and we can start thinking about ourselves, but such a mentality has no place in the BJP. From the days of the Indian Jana Sangh, the roots of the organization have remained. Due to those roots, now we see branches, offshoots and even tree tights,” he said.

He further said that leaders of other parties, who have integrated themselves ideological and politically in the BJP, have also enriched the party.

He said, “Three types of people are essential for any political organization: roots, shoots, and those who graft and strengthen the tree from time to time. Along with natural growth, even non-natural expansion is required to develop our organization with the skills demanded over time,” he commented.

Santosh said, “Many people have contributed directly, many indirectly, some morally, and others obtain their present form to help the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Udupi district.”

District President Kuthayar Naveen Shetty, MP Kota Srinivas Pujri, State General Secretary and MLA V. Sunil Kumar and others were present.
