New Delhi, October 1 (IANS), on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami, the ninth and last day of Sharadia Navratri, devotees from across the country gathered a large number of devotees to pray in the ninth form of the Goddess in the ninth form of the Goddess, known as the grain of the Goddess.
In Varanasi, thousands of devotees threw the Siddhmata temple in the Siddhamat Gali near Golghar for early hours in the morning. The atmosphere was filled with mantras of “Jai Mata D” as devotees carried out coconut, Hibiscus Garlands, Red Chunris and sweets offerings.
The priest of the temple, Mahant Prem Shankar said, “Today is the Navami Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha on the last day of Navratri. According to tradition, on this day, devotees pray to the deity Siddhmata.” “We believe that she performs spiritual and physical fulfillment to her devotees.”
As soon as the temple doors opened after Mangala Aarti, the complex echoed with devotional mantras. Special rituals and puja are being organized. According to religious texts, even Lord Shiva is said to have attained all the siddhis by worshiping Goddess Siddhidati.
In Ramgarh, Jharkhand, thousands of devotees gathered at the Rajrapa temple to worship the ninth form of Durga, recited havan and mantras, and organized large community feasts (Bhandar).
In Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, similar enthusiasm was seen at the Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple, where a large number of devotees participated in special havan rituals and worship ceremonies. The temple management made a detailed arrangement to accommodate the growth of worshipers.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the prestigious Jhandevalan Temple saw a huge crowd of devotees, who were looking for the divine blessings of the goddess.
A devotee said, “Everyone’s wishes are fulfilled here. I have been coming here for many years.”
To ensure security and manage the crowd, local authorities in various cities deployed security personnel and volunteers. With the culmination of Navratri, preparations are now going on for the Dussehra celebrations across the country.
