A Metal Detectorist revealed a rare 2,000-year-old Brooch – And first misunderstood Roman Artifact for children’s toys.

After finding children’s model cars in the 1960s and 70s, they initially suspected that the brooch was nothing more than another toy.
The 54 -year -old said, “When I first saw it in the ground, I saw that there was a latch behind it, and so I thought Independent.
“I then took it in a big bag, which I had taken for lead, and it was only when I came back and cleaned it properly that I saw bronze material.
“I thought ‘thank God, because I could break it easily.”

Between 1,800 and 2,000 years of age, it is likely to be worn during the UK’s Roman rule, which lasted up to about 410AD.
Mr. Williams said: “There is no Roman road through the ground, but I believe there is an abandoned church, which may mean that it is going to someone or from the church.”
