New Delhi, October 7 (IANS) After West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of politicizing the natural disaster, a political storm has arisen, on which many BJP leaders made a sharp and personal reprimand, who questioned her response and commitment to the flood affected areas.
BJP MLA Ram Kadam said vigorously, “Mamta Banerjee’s statements have been disappointed from the beginning. If the Prime Minister expresses concern during a disaster, does he also disappoint? He is the Prime Minister of India. If there is a disaster in any part of the country and people are losing their lives, in a situation where he needs a high level, instead of this, he expects a tweet from the Prime Minister of Pakistan?”
Expressing similar feelings, BJP leader and MP Arjun Singh said that his criticism has lost his restraint: “The Prime Minister posted that there is no law and order in Bengal. Mamata Banerjee has lost her mind, so she is saying all this.”
Senior BJP leader and former state president Dilip Ghosh questioned Banerjee’s absence from the ground, “What is Mamata Banerjee doing? Instead of focusing on governance, why are they in Kolkata? Why did they not visit the flood affected areas? The people of North Bengal say repeatedly that they are being ignored. The government spends money to count and demand money, but no sensitivity shows any sensitivity and no sensitivity to demand money from the center. Take. ” In Kolkata, ignoring the suffering of North Bengal. ”
The comment came in response to a detailed statement posted by Mamata Banerjee on the social media platform ‘X’, where she expressed concern over the Prime Minister’s comments and alleged that she had opted to politicize the natural disaster without waiting for an official inquiry.
In his statement, Banerjee wrote: “It is a matter of extremely unfortunate and deep concern that the Prime Minister of India has opted to politicize the natural disaster without waiting for any proper investigation – and that too at a time when the people of North Bengal are struggling with destructive floods and landslides.”
He further alleged that when the state administration and police were engaged in relief and rescue operations, BJP leaders decided to enter the affected areas with large convoys and central force security without informing local authorities.
He said, “The Prime Minister has convicted the Trinamool Congress and the West Bengal government without any evidence, without any legal investigation and without any administrative report. It not only touches political petty, but also violates the constitutional ethics that the Prime Minister swore to maintain. The law does in any democracy, the law does his work, and the responsibility of some incident is determined by the proper process through a tweet, and the responsibility of some incident Not through. “
