In a horrific incident, two men were shot dead inside a salon in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh area. Victime Sonu and Ashish, both in their early 30s, were shot multiple times in front of other customers and salon workers, police said Friday.

A video purportedly from the salon’s CCTV camera is circulating on social media, in which two gunmen can be seen entering the salon. One of the men shot a man at close range as he begged for his life.

Police said Sonu was shot once in the head, Ashish was shot three times in the head and once in the chest.

A police officer said that on the surface, the attack was suspected to be caused by personal vendetta, but the possibility of a gang war could not be ruled out.

Police said the two attackers fled after the incident.

Soon after the incident, panic gripped the area and PCR calls were made.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Dwarka Ankit Singh said that the Najafgarh police station received a call from the Police Control Room (PCR) at 80 Indra Park. There was a shooting at a bar in Pillar.

“Also, a call was received at Mohan Garden police station that two persons were admitted to the hospital with gunshot injuries,” the official said, adding that both persons, namely Sonu and Ashish, succumbed to their injuries. .”

“Crime and FSL teams have been dispatched to the crime scene and further investigation is on,” the DCP said.

During preliminary investigation, police found that Sonu had no previous involvement in crime, while Ashish was involved in two cases.

“Three police teams have been formed. Police teams are also scanning CCTV cameras in the area to trace the route of the accused and nab them,” said a police official aware of the investigation.
