Delhi Traffic Advisory: Avoid these routes on November 24 and 25 for Central Vista project work

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory announcing night time traffic restrictions and diversions in parts of Lutyens’ Delhi due to road re-carpeting work under the Central Vista Project.

The restrictions will be in place between 9 pm and 6 am from November 24 to 25, affecting Dara Shikoh Road in both directions. Traffic heading towards Vijay Chowk will be diverted via Rajaji Marg → Kamaraj Marg → Sunehri Masjid → Moti Lal Nehru Marg, or Rafi Marg → Duty Path.

Restrictions on movement and parking will remain in force and wrongly parked vehicles will be moved to Mata Sundari Marg.

Traffic police warned of possible congestion around the Central Vista area at night and urged commuters to plan in advance and use alternative routes. Emergency vehicles will get priority access, although there may be some delay.

In the first phase, restrictions were imposed on Moti Lal Nehru Marg from 9 pm to 6 am from November 22 to 23. Traffic movement was suspended in both directions between Sunehri Bagh Masjid intersection and South Fountain Circle.

Vehicles were diverted from both the roundabouts and no traffic or roadside parking was allowed on the affected stretch. Wrongly parked vehicles were taken to Mata Sundari Marg traffic pit.
