According to the NAAC notice dated November 12, Al-Falah University is “neither accredited nor voluntary” for cycle-1 for the Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) process, according to news agency ANI.
Despite this, the university has claimed NAAC accreditation and displayed it incorrectly on its website.
“Al-Falah University is an effort of the Al-Falah Charitable Trust, which is running three colleges on the campus, namely Al Falah School of Engineering and Technology (since 1997, Grade A by NAAC), Brown Hill College of Engineering and Technology (since 2008), and Al-Falah School of Education and Training (since 2006, Grade A by NAAC),” claims NAAC, as per the notice mentioned on its website.
The regulatory body’s notice further said that the claim is “absolutely false and misleading to the public, especially parents, students and stakeholders.”

According to the notice, the accreditation status of Al-Falah University’s School of Engineering and Technology and School of Education and Training had expired in March 2018 and March 2016 respectively.
NAAC sought a reply from the university within seven days and asked seven questions.
It also directed the university to remove the claims from the website with immediate effect.
“You are required to remove the NAAC accreditation statement from your website and any other publicly available/distributed documents and report back to NAAC that the above has been complied with,” the notice said.
NAAC sent show cause notice to Al-Falah University.
