According to CNBC-TV18 sources, the operation began at 5:15 am and more than 25 locations linked to the Al Falah group were searched.
The operation is part of an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities, use of shell companies, housing institutions and money laundering. The agency is investigating the finances and alleged terror financing links in this case.
So far, the NIA has arrested two people, who were allegedly close associates of “suicide bomber” Dr Omar Nabi.
Al Falah University is located in the Dhauj area of Faridabad district in Haryana, near Delhi, and is a medical college-cum-hospital.
The role of the Al-Falah Trust and related entities is under investigation. Key personnel overseeing finance and administration at the university were also included. Nine shell companies linked to the group, which were registered at the same address, were under investigation.
preliminary findings:
A number of risk indicators are consistent with shell-company behavior, including:
- No physical presence or meaningful utility consumption at declared places of business.
- Common mobile numbers and emails across different companies and accounts.
- Lack of EPFO/ESIC filings and inconsistent with reported scale of operations.
- Weak KYC trails across overlapping directors/signatories and entities.
- Minimum wage disbursement through banking channels and absence of human resource records.
- Synchronous incorporation pattern and common contact coordination across all companies.
