New Delhi, 1 October (IANS) In a major success, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has caught a person for 12 years in connection with a violent delite robbery in Kirti Nagar in 2013.
Accused, Gautam Yadav (32), originally Bihar in Jamui district of Bihar was declared a declared criminal and a reward of Rs 20,000 was given for the leading information for his arrest.
The case is back on 8 March 2013, when a woman from Kirti Nagar filed a complaint stating that her servant, Gautam Yadav, forcibly entered her house with three colleagues, tied her, tied and looted her with gold jewelery, including bangles, a series with a locket, and a ring. The cruelty of the incident sent shockwaves through the community at that time.
While two accused, Suraj Yadav and Suresh Yadav were arrested during preliminary investigation, Gautam Yadav managed to avoid law enforcement for more than a decade.
Under Inspector Mahipal, a special team is working under ACP Satendra Mohan and the overall supervision of DCP Harsh Indora, was tasked to track the Absconder. Acting on a major lead, the team discovered Yadav to Gangeshwar Nagar, Jaipur, where he was arrested on 30 September after a fast and planned operation.
DCP Indora said in the official press release, “The Operation Crime Branch is a testimony for the team’s unwanted efforts, patience and sharp field craft, which ensured the arrest of a desired criminal that had been unaware for more than a decade.”
During interrogation, Yadav admitted to conspiring with the partner and exploit his employer’s trust. He helped the gang enter the house and participated in tying and capturing the victim before robbing precious goods.
Since fleeing from Delhi, Yadav has been walking around in Chennai, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, and raised strange jobs, including an e-rickshaw driver, and refrained from visiting his original village during the day to prevent detection.
Originally in village Kharik, District Jamui, Bihar, Yadav is illiterate and fell into criminal activities during his early years in Delhi, creating an association with known criminals.
