Delhi Police busted inter-state syndicate, 2-kilo medicine priced at four crore rupees

New Delhi, September 21 (IANS) In a major success against the smuggling of interstate drugs, the inter-state cell (ISC), the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has destroyed the Bareilly-based drug syndicate and seized about two kilograms of high-quality smacks with cash and precious metals.

The operation was performed after the police received specific intelligence in relation to the drug racket.

According to a press statement issued by the police on Sunday, a police team, on 15 September, caught Aman Khan (22 years), a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh in Anand Vihar bus terminal in Delhi, after receiving intelligence input.

214.5 grams of smack was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, a case was registered under the NDPS Act.

During interrogation, Aman Khan revealed that his visit to Delhi was arranged by Uwais Khan (20).

Acting on this input, a joint raid was conducted with the local police in Bareilly on 18 September, which led to the arrest of Khan, which was from his residence in village Gogai in Police Station Megganj in Bareilly.

On the example of Khan, the following items were recovered – 1.76 kg smack, Rs 10.30 lakh cash, 435 grams of gold and 550 grams of silver, police said.

According to the police statement, Khan has a pre -criminal record and was involved in an NDPS case in 2022 police station Shyampur, Haridwar in Uttarakhand.

The police team involved in the racket included Inspector Satendra Khari (ISC), as well as Sub Inspector Amit Kumar, C Sanjay, and Head Constable Sanoj, HC Lalit, HC Brijesh and HC Surrender. The team worked under the supervision of Ramesh Lamba, ACP/ISC, mentioning the statement issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police Aditya Gautam Office.

The press statement said that the raids are being conducted to conduct NAB to other members of the syndicate.
