New Delhi, 23 September (IANS) To increase mechanization in cleanliness, NDMC President Keshav Chandra on Tuesday started distributing a new set of modern hygiene equipment to replace the broom by hand in all his 14 hygiene circles.
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) also organized a blood donation camp as part of ‘Sena Pakhwada’, which is being celebrated to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
The distribution of sanitation equipment by NDMC includes 300 hand held dustbin per circle for source-level waste collection, 27 fully equipped cleaning trolls and wet moping, 14 megaphones, 14 megaphones for strengthening public awareness campaigns and 300 waste collections for efficient and efficient stroat vest management.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Chandra said that “sanitation workers will now be equipped with modern trolleys, carrying all the necessary cleaning equipment, from the Sabun solution to the MOP-replacing the traditional hand-arrow.”
“This step is part of NDMC’s vision to combine innovation, mechanization and community engagement to give a cleaner and greenery New Delhi,” he said.
A statement stated that the Public Health Department of the Civic Agency started a special program – under the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Pakhwada’, in Khan Bazar, ’empowering the table assistant with equipment to improve cleanliness’ efficiency and mechanization’.
Chandra said that sanitation practices should be developed with continuous innovation and experimentation to ensure efficiency, motivate employees and give direct benefits to both residents and visitors of the city.
The statement stated that the initiative focused on NDMC stability and unwavering focus on civil-centric services, while recognizing the invaluable role of her Palika co-coaches in maintaining the city’s hygiene and aesthetics.
This initiative reflects modernization of NDMC’s hygiene practices and to ensure world -class hygiene standards in the capital.
In the relevant development, NDMC Secretary Tariq Thomas inaugurated a blood donation camp at NDMC Headquarters, Palika Center. Blood donation camp was organized by the Welfare Department of NDMC in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS).
As a part of Seva Pakhwada, another blood donation camp was organized by the Blood Storage Center under the Medical Services Department of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) at Charak Palika Hospital, Fat Rebellion.
The initiative with the slogan of ‘Donate Blood, Save Lives’ received positive response from employees and general public.
A total of 72 donors were registered and 47 blood bags were screened after a screening of 47 blood bags in this camp at Chark Palika Hospital. On the other hand, a total of 21 blood units were donated by NDMC employees at the municipality center, the statement said.
