New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS) Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra visited the Bharat Parv 2025 held at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Ekta Nagar and encouraged the city’s artistes participating in the ‘Delhi Day’ programme, an official said.
He said Mishra participated in the event to encourage artists from Delhi and showcase the rich cultural talent of the capital on the national stage.
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is organizing Bharat Parv outside Delhi for the first time this year.
Organized by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, this grand event includes celebrations dedicated to different states of India. An official said that under this series, ‘Delhi Day’ was celebrated on Monday.
A group of 65 artistes from Delhi participated in Bharat Parv 2025, and presented the vibrant cultural heritage of the capital through music, dance, folk art and dramatic performances. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi was also present on this occasion.
Mishra encouraged the participating artists from Delhi who brought alive the cultural richness of the capital through music, dance, folk art and theatre.
This year’s edition of Bharat Parv is especially dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. His visionary leadership and ideals of national unity laid the foundation for a stronger India – a spirit that Bharat Parv 2025 seeks to celebrate.
In his address, Mishra said, “Bharat Parv is not just a festival of culture; it is a celebration of unity, pride and identity. It is a proud opportunity for the artists of Delhi to present their talent in front of the entire nation.”
He said, “Delhi is the heart of India – its art, music and traditions symbolize the diversity of the entire country. When our artistes perform at a historic venue like Gujarat, it becomes not just an exchange of culture but a celebration of emotional unity.”
