“Kejriwal has been allotted an official bungalow by the Center after being scolded by the Delhi High Court. He was entitled to a bungalow because he is the convenor of a national party,” AAP national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda told PTI video.
Last month, the Delhi High Court pulled up the Center for delaying its decision to house Kejriwal a residential house in the national capital.
Kejriwal lived in a residence at 6, Flag Staff Road in Civil Lines while he was the Chief Minister.
The BJP had made it a major election issue in Delhi, calling the House “Sheesh Mahal”, and saying that its Chief Minister would not live there.

After resigning as chief minister, Kejriwal moved into a government bungalow, which was allotted to Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal.
In 2022, the Vigilance Department of the Delhi government, under the direction of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, initiated an investigation into allegations of “irregularities and cost overruns” in the renovation of the Civil Lines Bungalow by the PWD.
Currently, the CBI is investigating the case on the complaint of the then leader in the Delhi Assembly, Vijendra Gupta, which was filed against Saxena in December 2024.
