New Delhi, 18 September (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday formally launched three new educational courses Neev (New Enterprises and Entrepreneurship Development Scheme), Science and President of Science (National Policy).
Delhi CM said, “The purpose of this initiative is to prepare students for the future by combining academic learning with essential life skills and civil responsibility.”
The Chief Minister said that this initiative is a symbol of a revolutionary step in the field of education, not only designed to provide educational knowledge, but also to empower students with life skills, entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence and a sense of responsible citizenship.
Education Minister Ashish Sood and senior officials attended the program organized at Bharat Mandapam. The Directorate of Education has developed these syllabus.
Chief Minister Gupta said that these three courses have been introduced for millions of students in all government schools in Delhi, with a widespread objective of nation building.
The Chief Minister said that the aim of new courses is to create a commercial mentality in children from an early age, to introduce them to artificial intelligence (AI), and has been able to become competent and self -sufficient.
The goal, he emphasized, students have to shape not only as job seekers but as future job-makers.
He said that through the science of the living course, the personality of children would be refined in all aspects, while sensitivity and compassion towards society would be nurtured.
The Chief Minister said that the syllabus has already been shared with the teaching community and is a major component of Seva Pakhwada (fortnight of service), combining with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Gupta made it clear that the government would ensure no shortage of resources for schools, whether in the context of toilets, laboratories, playgrounds or other facilities.
He reiterated that his priority is not the construction of large buildings or flyover, but a guarantee of building better schools and quality education.
He urged the teachers to pursue this educational mission so that the government schools in Delhi set new benchmarks, produced competent citizens, and played their right role in nation building.
