Judicial Magistrate Kartik Taparia asked Delhi Police to provide copies of the charge sheet against Sakaria Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai (41) and his friend Syed Tahseen Raza and posted the case to November 1 for scrutiny of documents.
Earlier on October 18, Delhi Police had filed a 400-page charge sheet against him for various offenses under the Indian Civil Code (BNS), including attempt to murder, assault and battery to prevent a public servant from discharging his duty and criminal conspiracy.
Meanwhile, the court sought a medical report from Tihar jail authorities on Khimjibhai’s plea seeking medical intervention.
The application states that he is having trouble seeing, which causes frequent headaches.
According to last reports, Khimjibhai was angry because the Delhi Chief Minister had supported the Supreme Court’s August 11 order directing officials to translocate stray dogs.
Following Khimjibhai’s alleged attack, the Delhi CM’s office had described the attack as part of a “planned conspiracy to kill him”.
The Chief Minister was attended to by doctors and examined for MLC (medico-legal case).
