New Delhi, September 18 (IANS) promised to make Delhi a model state, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched a 502 refurbished Anganwadi-cum-Crech for working women and announced a collateral free loan of up to Rs 10 crore to women in the MSME sector.
CM said, “We want Delhi to be a bright model for other states,”
CM Gupta said, “There will be no Anganwadi workers from now on. They will be known as ‘Mousse’, who will take care of children like children of their sisters.”
He said that Anganwadi and Crach workers will now be addressed by the new name ‘Mausi’, which symbolizes maternal affection, care and nutrition, he said.
CM Gupta said that 502 Anganwadi-cum-crush will provide daycare facility for working women, where their children will be taken care of, while they will be busy during the day.
In a message on X, he said, “The inauguration of 502 Palana Anganwadi-cum-Crech centers in Delhi is a new line of peace in the lives of working and hard-working mothers. These centers are guaranteed nutrition and care for young children. Now mothers will be able to balance their dreams and responsibilities with peace.”
“Under Seva Pakhwada, on the occasion of the birthday of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, this invaluable gift is given to mothers in Delhi. These 502 centers will serve as a column for nutrition and care of young children and support their jobs and hard -working mothers.
Highlighting a new MSME scheme in work, the Chief Minister said, “Under this scheme, women entrepreneurs will be given a loan of up to Rs 10 crore without any condition or security. It will enable them to start their own business and become self -sufficient.”
He said that steps will give new strength to women in the direction of entrepreneurship and self-employment.
“Women will be given Rs 10 crore on the government’s own guarantee,” she said.
Earlier, the CM announced that the Delhi government was working with the aim of converting the entire public transport fleet into electric.
In a post on X, CM Gupta said, “Today, I attended the 26th Safe Annual Convention 2025 and in the 3rd edition of the Siam Green Plate EV rally event held in Bharat Mandapam. Delhi government is working with determination to make capital clean, green and prepare for the future.
“Our obvious goal is that by the year 2026, Delhi’s public transport will be completely electric. This initiative will not only reduce pollution, but will also serve as a means to make the lives of millions of citizens healthy, safe and more convenient,” she has written on X.
