Bengaluru, Nov 12 (IANS) Responding to the ongoing discussion over the Delhi Red Fort blasts, Karnataka BJP has said that it is a case of international terrorism and one should not mix politics with it.
Speaking to the media in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy said, “These acts are being carried out by countries that are hostile towards India.”
“All countries should come together to stop this kind of terrorism,” he urged.
He said that the government had arrested many people before the bomb blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.
He said it has now come to light that the accused did not intend to carry out the blast on November 10, as was initially believed, but their plan was to carry out the blast during the Republic Day celebrations in Ayodhya and other parts of the country.
“Our intelligence agencies worked very efficiently and hence all of them were arrested in advance,” he said.
About 2,900 kg of explosives were seized. “After this, the so-called doctors’ syndicate has been exposed. People are now in a situation where they do not know which doctor to trust,” he said.
He criticized the so-called ‘Doctor Syndicate’ as a syndicate of religious fundamentalists and alleged that the crimes they commit amount to religious fanatic terrorism.
He also referred to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement in which he had asked why the blast took place just two days before the elections and said, “I too have the same suspicion.”
“Delhi bomb blasts will impact Bihar elections. It will benefit opposition parties and harm BJP. What kind of politics is this? Do these words suit a Chief Minister?” He asked question.
Meanwhile, RDPR, IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge shared an old video of PM Narendra Modi on social media and said, “No one can expose PM Narendra Modi better than CM Modi on accountability.”
For the Prime Minister, accountability appears to be a virtue reserved for others. Kharge said, when he is in opposition, he constantly demands it, but when he is in power, he completely avoids it.
PM is an escapist. He is elusive, he criticized, avoiding press conferences, avoiding Parliament and shirking every responsibility with spectacle and distraction.
