Delhi airport issues fog advisory for Monday; Baggage system glitch affects T1 and T3

Delhi Airport issued passenger advisory at 22:25 pm on Sunday night. Based on the forecast of the India Meteorological Department, the advisory states that visibility will be low tomorrow morning and dense fog is expected at Delhi Airport.

It added that some flight operations may be affected due to expected weather conditions. Passengers were asked to stay updated about their flight status by contacting their airlines or checking their official websites.

The advisory also states, “Please click on this link for real-time winter travel updates.” The post was tagged #DelhiAirport, #PassengerAdvisory and #DELAAdvisory.

According to sources, the airlines faced a glitch in the baggage handling system at the Delhi airport on Sunday afternoon and the issue was later resolved. This disturbance lasted for about 15-20 minutes from around 1.45 pm.

This affected the movement of luggage for flights departing from Terminals 1 and 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport, sources said. There was no comment from airport operator DIAL or the airlines.

Delhi International Airport Limited operates IGIA, which handles around 1,300 flight movements daily.
