The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi has announced a half-day shutdown till 2:30 pm on Monday for the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on January 22.

“It is informed for the information of all employees that the Institute will remain closed for half day till 14.30 hrs (2.30 pm) on 22.01.2024. All heads of centres, heads of departments, units and branch officers are requested to bring this to the notice of all employees working under them,” read the statement signed by Administrative Officer, Rajesh Kumar.

The institute in the national capital asked heads of all centres, departments, units and branch officers to bring this to the notice of all employees working under them.

On the same lines, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital has also announced a half-day holiday till 2:30 pm on January 22 for the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram temple. However, all emergency services in the hospital will remain operational and OPD registration counters will open at 1:30 pm.

Meanwhile, Delhi government offices will remain closed for half a day on January 22 on the occasion of the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla statue in Ayodhya will be held on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other dignitaries.

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved a half-day holiday for all offices, civic bodies and other undertakings of the Delhi government on the occasion of “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, a Raj Niwas official said.

“The Lieutenant Governor of NCT of Delhi is pleased to announce a half-day closure till 14.30 hrs on 22nd January in all offices, autonomous bodies, boards, corporations, local bodies, undertakings under the Government of NCT of Delhi. To enable the employees to participate in the function,” a memorandum from the services department said.

Meanwhile, a Delhi government official said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued an order to close government offices till 2.30 pm on January 22.
