Deepika Padukone attends the BAFTA Awards, where David Beckham and Cate Blanchett will also take the stage; Dietz

After making an appearance at the Oscars last year, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone will attend the upcoming British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards. According to Variety , she will be handing out the gold masks on Sunday, February 18. She was joined on stage by celebrities including David Beckham, Cate Blanchett and Dua Lipa. Other stars in attendance at the ceremony included “Bridgerton” actress Adjoa Andoh, Hugh Grant, “Emily in Paris” Lily Collins, “The Crown” star Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson, as well as Himish Patel and Idris Elba.

While it has yet to be confirmed who will present the awards in each category, former winners Emma McKay and Jack O’Connell will present the Rising Star Awards. This year’s contenders include Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards will be held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday evening. Attendees included “Salt” star Barry Keoghan, “Maison” actors Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, “Oppenheimer” actor Cillian Murphy and director Grey’s Ta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Celine Song and Yorgos Lanthimos.

Deepika Padukone made her Academy Awards debut in 2023 as host and boy, and it’s one we’ll remember for years to come! The actress, who performed Naatu Naatu at the 95th Academy Awards and was sitting in the crowd along with other attendees, was seen in tears when MM Keeravani took the stage to receive her award.

The Bafta Film Awards are scheduled to take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday evening. The event will be televised on the BBC and iPlayer in the UK, and live on the Britbox platform in the US and elsewhere.

Attendees included “Saltburn’s” Barry Keoghan, “The Master”‘s Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, “Oppenheimer”‘s Cillian Murphy, and directors Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Celine Song and Yorgos Lanthimos.

The 2024 BAFTA Film Awards will be broadcast live on Lionsgate Play from 1:30am (IST) on February 19.
