The death toll from a fire at a retirement facility this week bosnia Doctors said on Friday that the death toll has reached 13 after the death of two more people in the hospital.
A fire broke out on the seventh floor of a retirement boarding house in the northeastern city of Tuzla on Tuesday evening, sending people panicking and rushing out. Eleven people died that day from suffocation due to smoke.
Doctors at Tuzla hospital said thirteen people were still hospitalized. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Bosnian media reported that on higher floors of the complex lived elderly people who could not walk on their own or were ill. The manager of the complex has resigned.
