One person died and at least 35 injured after a meteorological tsunami crashed onto a beach Argentina.
Sunbathers were shocked on Monday (January 12) when a 30-foot wall of water surged onto a beach off the coast of Santa Clara del Mar.
Video shows beachgoers crawling out of the water as they react to the unusual phenomenon – which looks like traditional tsunami But it was triggered by a sudden change in air pressure, not an earthquake.
Yair Manno, a 29-year-old man from Mar del Plata, was on holiday with his partner in the countryside when he was swept into the sea and hit his head on a rock. He died.
