Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labaro today visited the pilgrimage site of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arffin, Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom (RA) to review the preparation of observations of the upcoming Eurs in the Makhdoom Sahib area in Shah-e-Khas in Shah-e-Khas of Srinagar city.
During the journey, the Deputy Commissioner along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Adil Farid, Chief Planning Officer, Fayz Ahmed Dar, R&B, City Drainage, City Rhodes, City Rhodes, KPDCL, Tishelder Khanyar, Chief Cleanliness Officer, Medical Superintendent Assembly, Police and Traffic Department, Senior Officers of Police and Traffic Department, senior officers of Police and Traffic Department, along with senior officers, along with Additional Srinagar, Main Planning Officer, Chief Plan Were.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the facilities being laid to ensure smooth observation of the annual religious opportunity. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts by all concerned departments so that devotees could be expected to participate in large numbers.
DC reviewed various arrangements including water and electricity, transport service, parking and traffic management, sanitation and sanitation measures and medical facilities.
DC also interacted with pilgrimage officers and local representatives to include its suggestions to improve the upcoming URS system.
DC instructed the concerned to ensure adequate supply of water in the temple for the devotees. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the temple and directed the SMC officials to take all street lights functional and take necessary measures for cleanliness and dog threats.
Similarly, PDD engineers were directed to ensure a uninterrupted power supply in the area during URS days. He was made aware that a medical team in the temple during Urs days.
The DC directed the officials of the line departments to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are completely peaceful and smoothly convenient to Ur.
