DC Pulwama reviews preparations for the upcoming tricolor rally

Pulwama, August 07, KDC: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Bashrat Qayoom, today chaired a meeting in the district administrative campus, to review the preparations for the upcoming tricolor rally/journey, which is being organized as part of every house tricolor campaign 2025.

During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama gave a chair about the measures being taken to ensure departmental readiness and smooth conduct of the incident. It was also reported that as a run for the mega tricolor rally at the district level, tricolor rallies will also be organized at sub-divisions, tehsils and block levels to create a festive and patriotic atmosphere in the district.

Reviewing the arrangements, DC issued directions to all concerned officials to ensure large scale participation of officers and general public, which included students, youth groups, elected representatives, PRIs, family members of martyrs, members of civil society and community stakeholders to reflect patriotic and collective enthusiasm of the district.

Additionally, he emphasized the need for strict adherence to the flag code and instructed the authorities to abstract the participants to ensure that the dignity and purity of the national flag is intact at all levels.

“All departments will work in close coordination to ensure that the incident is held in a grand and frightening manner, reflecting the importance of national spirit and opportunity.” DC said

DC laid special emphasis on traffic management, directing the concerned departments to prepare comprehensive plans to ensure minimum disruption and safe movement of rally participants.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama, PD Nitya; Tral & Awantiipora, General Manager, DIC Pulwama Additional Deputy Commissioner; Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama; Principal of degree colleges; Chief Education Officer, Pulwama; Chief Medical Officer, Pulwama, Tehsildar, Police and Paramilitary Forces and Officers of other stakeholders.
