Kupwara, July 28, KDC: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, today chaired a review meeting to assess the preparation of the district for TB Mutt Bharat Abhiyan (July-December 2025).
The District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) performed a detailed powerpoint, in which the screening target of 1,03,059 persons from the district action plan and weaker population was highlighted.
DC directed the discovery of active active case and timely treatment initiation using available clinical equipment, promoting initial treatment initiation under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program (NTEP).
He directed Block Medical Officers (BMO) to gather healthcare workers, sensitive medical staff and strengthen community engagement. He also insisted on the deployment of mobile medical units in border and hard-to-wheel areas including Machil, Keran, Jumgund and Budnambal.
DC called for weekly progress reporting to monitor outreach and testing efforts, directed the authorities to submit weekly progress reports.
