The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee celebrated his 59th birthday on Friday by uploading a video of himself criticizing federal funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The White House did not immediately return The Independent Request to comment.

“They are cowardly, disgraceful, dishonest people,” he added. “They are disgusting.”

He also said he was “deeply ashamed of this government and the way they treat their neighbors at home and abroad.”

Matthews concluded: “I don’t like these monsters that are dominating the situation now. They’re ungrateful, greedy monsters. I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all.”
