Daniel Wake admits his mood is “somewhere in between,” though leeds Earned “good points” in a 1-1 draw Sunderland At the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats took the lead in the 28th minute through Simon Adingra but the visitors were dealt a heavy blow. Joe Rodon Forced to leave due to injury.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin The good form continued with a goal for a sixth consecutive game after the restart and despite a strong second half from Leeds the spoils were shared to extend their unbeaten run to five games.

Looking back on this game, Falk said: “The unbeaten record continues. We once again showed a good mentality to come back from the defeat.”

“There’s another point of course. It’s a tough away game and no other team has had a better result in the Premier League so far this season, so Sunderland are unbeaten at home.”

“It’s definitely a good point. The performance from the 30th minute onwards, because I thought we dominated the game, emotionally I’m a little bit in between. All the positives I mentioned now, but the gut feeling is we could have started the game better.

“I was not very satisfied with the first 30 minutes. To be honest, even if there was no injury, I would have changed the base formation and maybe even made a substitution in the first half.”

“We got a lot of praise for our win last weekend, we scored four goals from set pieces. We waited too much in the beginning just for throw-ins, corners, free-kicks.

“I think we forgot to show the second part of our DNA – football. To control the ball, to be brave on the ball, to be proactive and take the game into the opponent’s half and create scoring chances.

“That’s more or less what we did from the 30th minute onwards and this goal – a great team goal – came out of that. A lot of credit has to be given to the away performance from the 30th minute onwards.

“Our gut tells us that we dominate all statistics and if we are a little more clinical in the opponent’s penalty area, we can win this game.

“We accept that it’s a good point, especially coming back from a losing position, but there’s no dancing tonight because three points is also possible.”

Régis Le Bris believes Sunderland will struggle to adapt to the changes that have taken place following Rodon’s exit.

Brian Brombie had two great chances to extend the lead before the break, but Calvert-Lewin scored the decisive equalizer.

“We started well, we scored, we had a chance to score the second goal,” LeBris said.

“After Rodon got injured, the game changed and I think they adopted a different structure and we tried to find the best reference for attacking low and pressing high.

“I think it’s normal because of the changes to improve, to get better in this new culture, you need time and experience. The transition is a little difficult to manage today.”

LeBrice also revealed that Dan Ballard is out with an ankle issue.

“We’ll see on Monday, we’ll do another scan. It doesn’t look too serious but it’s important to explore further and find the best solution,” he said.
