The meeting, to be chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, is expected to consider emergency procurement of key weapons and military equipment, which could give a boost to new orders for the defense sector.
Key items on the agenda include proposals for integration of the Embraer-based Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system and the indigenous NETRA AEW system, the report said.
The meeting will be attended by senior defense and military leadership including the Chief of Defense Staff, tri-service chiefs, Defense Secretary and DRDO chief.
If approved, the proposals are expected to boost military modernization and indigenous defense manufacturing.
