Srinagar, May 22, KDC: Cyber Police Srinagar formally Dr. Abdul Wasim alias Bari was arrested, who was a finished professor of Kulgam and Hawker Asifa Bashir, Facebook of Srinagar. The two are reportedly involved in uploading and broadcasting objectionable content on social media.
An official confirmed the news agency Kashmir.com that the arrests were in connection with FIR number 06/2025 in connection with Bharat Nai Sanhita (BNS) under Section 67 and 67-A and Section 75 (3), 79, and 356 (2) of the IT Act in connection with FIR number 06/2025.
Dr. Wasim has been handed over to the police station Shergari, while Asifa Bashir has been sent to the women’s police station Rambagh. The case is under investigation. (KDC)
