Series creator David is a left-leaning man who has supported the Democratic Party in recent years, while RFK, a member of the Kennedy family, currently serves as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration.

Appeared on Hines abc talk show earlier this month, but said the host “just wanted to grill me” about her husband.
