Srinagar, July 14: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulu, presided over a meeting to review the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in Jammu and Kashmir today, focusing on ensuring easy integration of health data and digital services in UT.
The meeting was attended by Secretary, Health and Medical Education; Managing Director, ABDM; Principal of government medical colleges; Director Coordination (Medical College) and other senior officials of the department.
Taking stock of the ongoing initiative under the ABDM, the Chief Secretary underlined the urgency of connecting the patient health records with the ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID, stressing that no can leave to meet this important digital infection without further delay. He called for interlinking of Seht, ABDM and HMIS portals to create an integrated digital ecosystem, empowering patients, health professionals and institutions to easily deliver and share data through the same platform.
Dullu insisted that the continuous update of the patient health records should be ensured so that individuals do not need to carry the paper records while going to any hospital or doctor. He called for universal implementation of scan and share facilities in all health institutions. He directed the department to rationalize the manpower, especially for the success of HMIS module for the success of the success.
In an important push towards improving accountability and data integrity, the Chief Secretary directed the department to accelerate the Health Professional Registry (HPR) and take strict measures against professionals who delayed compliance. He advised to get technical assistance professionally from Bisag-N and eliminated rapid digitization goals under the ABDM structure.
During the meeting, Secretary H&ME, Dr. Shah gave information about the steps taken in advance to accelerate digital change. He highlighted the success of the department on the facility of starting HPR, digitizing patient health records, integrating radio diagnostic reports with ABHA ID and rolling out scans and sharing facilities in many health institutions.
He confirmed the department’s commitment to ensure complete satisfaction of these initiatives within a defined timeline. He depicted the strategies that are going to complete the mission satisfactorily in all health facilities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Consideration -discourse, connecting MD Abdam, Anant Dwivedi, underlined three main pillars of the mission including Abhiya ID, Health Professional Registry (HPR) and Health Facility Registry (HFR). He told that J&K has made remarkable progress in all these domains.
According to the latest data, it was reported that 94.49 lakh ABHA IDs have been created, including 69.7% of the target population. It was revealed that 100% registration of all 3,607 public health facilities (HFR) has been completed in addition to 87% registration of public doctors (6,713 of 7,730) and 100% registration of public nurses (5,149).
In addition, 20.58 lakh digital health records have been paired with ABHA IDS, with 1.44 lakh new records from May. Additionally, 104 out of 105 health facilities are now actively using HMIS (JK-E spontaneous) portal. In particular, 71.16 lakh scans and stock tokens have been generated so far, as reported in this meeting.
These milestones reflect UT’s firm commitment to use technology for better healthcare delivery.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the department for progress and insisted on maintaining speed to ensure complete digital inclusion to all citizens in Futuristic Health Ecosystem in the coming days.
