In a significant progress towards increasing government-public communication, Chief Secretary Atal Dullu today unveiled the first edition of a monthly magazine ‘Information’ published by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR). The release ceremony Commissioner Secretary, Information and GAD, M. Raju, and Director, Information and PR, were held in the presence of Nitish Rajora.
The purpose of ‘information connect’ is to present a comprehensive account of developmental milestones, policy initiatives and notable events that shape the center region of Jammu and Kashmir. Designed as a rich reserves of authentic information, the magazine provides citizens a window in the developed socio-economic scenario of the region.
Appreciating the initiative, the Chief Secretary appreciated the publication as a very essential platform for accurate and timely spread about the UT. He emphasized that the magazine should not only report government activities, but also make major areas like tourism, trade, industry, infrastructure and innovation.
Emphasizing the importance of regular and consistent outreach, the Chief Secretary advised that the magazine became a permanent feature of DIPR’s public communication strategy. He said that such efforts bridge the gap between the administration and the people, which create a reliable channel to inform citizens about various schemes, services and ongoing projects that affect their daily lives.
Commissioner Secretary M. Raju appreciated the DIPR team for time and well curate publication, called it a powerful tool to paint and paint the correct picture of development in the region. ” He encouraged the department to ensure continuous improvement in quality and early spread of material to maximize public awareness and impact.
The magazine’s layout and editorial vision sharing insight, Director Information and PR, Nitish Rajora highlighted the role of the magazine in integrating traditional and modern outreach channels to inform and attach citizens.
