Crisis Kolkata exposes poor disaster management after one night rain: Bengal omit

Kolkata, September 23 (IANS) Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Suvendu Adikari on Tuesday convicted the Kolkata civilian officers for “gross disability”, as after one night of heavy rains, the city and its nearby areas were submerged after drowning. He said, “This failure is havoc. Why the wires have not been exposed in time? Seven innocent lives have already been lost. It is not just negligent – it is a crime, and those responsible should be held accountable,” he said.

According to the official, recurring urban floods and concerned tragedies have become the “fate” of the residents of Kolkata due to continuous mismanagement. “How long will this chaos continue?” He asked.
