Crime Branch Kashmir apple plants register FIR against Anantnag Man for fraud

Srinagar: Economic Offenses Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) has lodged an FIR against Shahid Rahman Bhat, a resident of Tulbag Shangas in Anantnag district, for allegedly cheating several persons on the pretext of supply of high-graded apple plants.

According to a press release issued by the agency, Messrs AR Trading Agri Services Pvt. Limited, which is accused of incorrectly collecting large amounts from farmers and gardening enthusiasts to incorrectly promise to distribute high density apple plants.

The complainants alleged that despite receiving payment for crores of rupees, the accused neither distributed nor returned the money to the promised plants. After acquiring money, Bhat was reportedly hidden.

The analysis of the statements of bank transactions submitted by the complainants confirmed that the accused had collected significant amounts from several victims, highlighted a well -planned fraud scheme.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the Economic Offenses Wing has registered a case at the police station of Economic Offenses Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) under Section 318 (4) of the Indian Judge (BNS) 2023.
