Couple puts £2 million ‘dream’ home they won for £10 on the market

A couple who snagged a £2.5 million property in a £10 lottery has placed their “dream” home up for sale. Jade and her partner, who live in the Midlands, won their seaside property in Kent after entering the draw in 2022. But despite having £50,000 to furnish the 9,000 square foot residence sandwiched between Dover and Deal, they have opted to cash in fewer than 12 months after their shock win.

The Gunnery, as the house is known, has now hit the market with a £2.65 million price tag.

The listing is fronted by the Strutt and Parker agency, and agents have dubbed the home “exceptional and individual”.

When entering the home, a description states would-be buyers are greeted by the home’s “unique and special” nature.

The listing adds that the home boasts a central passageway that leads to a “main living space” with “three distinct areas and floor-to-ceiling windows”.

The home’s future buyers will have access to more than the house, with the local area providing the perfect landscape for cliff walks.

Those who prefer to take a dip or enjoy a day sailing don’t need to walk far to reach a beach.

The current owners were overjoyed to learn they won the property last year, with Jade praising the views.

After the win, she and her partner told Kent Online it had left them “physically shaking”.
