A self-exploited ‘African tribe’ has been legally stopped from returning to a private site in the Scottish borders, after their expulsion and later on the council-owned land.
The group, known as the kingdom of Kubala, captured Woods near Zeberg for weeks before receiving a eviction notice last month to be on private property.
Trikadi then shifted his camp to a adjacent plot owned by the local council.
On Wednesday, the Selkirk Sheriff Court ruled that they could not re -reset the original private land from where they were removed earlier.
The group leader Kofi dehin, 36, self-proclaimed king Athene, his wife Jean Gasho, 43, who call themselves Rani Nandi, and “Handmadon” is made of Kaura Taylor, who calls himself an asnat.
Zadberg councilor Scott Hamilton said that police, lion officers and other agencies went to the camp on Thursday morning and evicted the trio.
Mr. Hamilton, deputy leader of the Scottish Borders Council, said that “heavy police attendance”.
He said: “The site is currently being approved by the council.
“There are still some things in relation to the situation, but I think this morning has been a good result for the community and also for them in terms of results.”
The three earlier said that they were reclaiming the stolen land from their ancestors 400 years ago.
