Coronation Street Actress Debbie Rush has announced the death of her actor son, who was 31.
Rush, who appeared as Anna Windass in the ITV soap, said Grange Hill And Waterloo Road Star William died on December 17 and said his family was going through “unimaginable grief.”
“There are no words that can truly express the depth of our loss,” he wrote. InstagramCalling him “our beautiful baby boy”.
“As a family, our hearts are completely broken,” she said, demanding privacy. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Rush said William was an organ donor, and “he gave hope and life to other families, thinking of others right to the end”.
“His kindness and love will always be a part of his legacy,” they wrote, adding, “William will always be loved, always remembered and will always be in our hearts.”
William played Ali Duncan in Grange Hill from 2005 to 2007 and Josh Stevenson in the BBC series. Waterloo Road From 2009 to 2013.
He also had small roles in shameless, Vera And Accident and appeared on the ITV soap Coronation Street At the same time as his mother in 2014. Rush played Anna Windass from 2008 to 2018.
Two years later, William auditioned for a talent show x factorand reached the third round before being sent home by the judges.
William was one of Rush’s three children with her husband Andrew, to whom she has been married since 1989. He was inspired to begin an acting career by his headteacher, Cherry Rivero, who encouraged him to audition for a role in a school play at Bamford Academy in Rochdale, England.

She trained at the Manchester School of Acting before landing roles on TV.
Rush and his son’s former co-stars pay tribute to William blank Star Sally Dynevor (Debbie Metcalfe) is writing: “Oh Debbie, I’m so shocked to hear this news.

David Platt star Jack P Shepherd commented: “So sorry to read Debbie. Devastating news. Thinking of you all.”
Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster in the serial, said: “Oh Debbie. I’m so sorry for your loss!! I’m sending you all so much love.”
Katie McGlynn, who appeared in Waterloo Road As Jody “Scout” Allen wrote: “Debbie I’m so sorry for you all. Will made everyone smile and was a very kind man. Thinking of you and sending you all lots of love.”
