Conservatives dismiss Labour’s criticism of Frank Hurst for ‘trying to get Corbyn elected’

Conservative deputy leader James Daley dismissed Sir Kris Bryant’s criticism of Frank Hurst, the Conservative Party’s biggest ever donor, saying the shadow minister was “trying to get Jeremy Corbyn elected prime minister”.

Mr Hester allegedly made inflammatory comments about Diane Abbott, including that she “should be shot” and made him “want to hate all black women”.

When Sir Chris criticized the Conservatives for accepting millions of dollars in donations from Mr Hester, Mr Daley said: “Your party has certain views which I think the whole country is questioning.

“Talking about this issue from a so-called moral perspective is not really what Labor needs to do.”
