Congress shifting goalposts say that Rohan Gupta of BJP hit Rahul Gandhi on the claims of ‘vote theft’.

New Delhi, September 24 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Rohan Gupta on Wednesday attacked the allegations of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s voter deletion, accusing him of shifting the lap and doing politics in a wrong way.

Responding to Gandhi’s allegations against ECI for “vote theft”, Gupta said the opposition claims were already exposed. “The Congress held a press conference claiming that 6,018 votes were removed in Karnataka’s Alund constituency, but later admitted that it was only an attempt. If theft was never done, what is the issue? It only shows that the Congress has created controversies because it is not a real agenda,” Gupta said.

He said that the Election Commission has already made the issue of alleged deletion clear. “Congress is in power in Karnataka. If they are serious, what is their CID doing? Why are they not giving evidence to the officials?” He asked.

Targeting Gandhi directly, the BJP spokesperson alleged that the Congress was involved in selective politics. “First, he raised the Sir issue in Bihar, then shifted to Karnataka, and now talks about votes at the national level. Rahul Gandhi keeps changing his goalpost. At a time when his own leaders make the comments that make voice like Pakistan’s appeasement, it is hypocritical to the country to give lectures to the country and democracy,” said the Gupta said.

Turning to Bihar, he claimed that the opposition was caught in the politics of appeasement. “Owi resident wrote, expressing his desire to join the opposition, but the Congress and RJD never responded. Their ideological contradictions are exposed. Bihar caste or appeasement will no longer vote, but on the development received under the NDA government. People will not return ‘Jungle Raj’.

Gupta reacted to the meeting of the Congress Working Committee in Patna in the first day, said Gupta said that the Grand Old Party was out of contact with reality. He said, “No matter how much they try, the issue of vote theft is not present on the ground. Even Tejashvi Yadav is removing himself from the Congress. NDA will win Bihar with a decisive mandate,” he claimed.
